        It should be noted that this single was actually sung by Peter Shelley, the writer. He did one TV show, "Lift Off", performing in a split-colour jump suit and make up, with a coloured afro-wig. Then I guess he decided he didn't want to be that character, and when the single did eventually take off, he got Bernard Jewry to take on the single, and he went with the Gene Vincent inspired look, to fame and fortune.

        (Which, oddly enough, is not so far from how he became Shane Fenton back in the early sixties!)
