Roger Daltrey – One Of The Boys

Id just like to say I just played this lp for the first time since the 70’s. I have to say its absolutely nothing like what I remembered about it. Anyone who grew up at this time and loved The Who remembers this lp coming out and the title track and that video. However that song actually has little to do with the rest of the lp. Its actually filled with little singer songwriter songs but in a good way. A definite product of its time its production especially is a bit dated. But Roger does alright mostly here. He picked ok songs and sings em well. Very pleasant listen if not essential. Its light years better than ride a rock horse. An lp so bad its on par with the star wars holiday special.

Serviceable but uninspiring rock, manifested into the universe by a brigade of AOR virtuosi. Sort of a waste of talent ultimately.

Never heard this record but it's got an awesome cover and back.

very nice 1977 URUGUAY pressing of this solo album by roger from 1977, all titles in spanish on the sleeve & disc!!! like most sleeves from urugauy the sleeve is sealed in a protected record bag & the lp is on the outside of the sleeve no pocket sleeve.....

The artist Todd linked to as writer is incorrect, definitely A4 was not co-written by Trance artist..

This version/ pressing of this CD was remastered by John Astley.

My copy has "including: Say it ain't so Joe" printed on cover front side (right below). Song is B 3 instead of "Written in the wind".

this was rogers third solo lp released in 1977, this is the only japan copy that was ever released in japan as there was never a reissue of this in japan, great thick 70s obi strip and standard japan inner sheet..................

this was the only japan pressing of this third solo album roger did in 1977, ive had this for decades but it seems hard to find w/ the obi strip 42 years on..............
