Pantera – History Of Hostility

Went into this with cautious optimism. Honestly not bad for Rainblow. Sounds decent, had to kick in my EQ the highs were dropped a bit. Also wish they had original Cemetery Gates, Demon Knight version is shorter which kinda sucks.

Track list is lacking Trendkill songs but that’s okay i guess

"Demon Knight Edit" means severely truncated. Phil and Dime's back-and-forth screaming/harmonics is completely wiped out.

Great Comp if you don't want to track down all the OG stuff. Doesn't sound flat to me at all. I cranked the F out of it and it was shaking the walls. Maybe the The later pressings are better?

Solid copy, good punch on the low end and all parts are pretty clear. Dime's guitar comes screaming through with Vinnie wailing away in the back. Would buy again

Honestly, for the price, its a good compilation. I have to agree it sounds more "flat" than a reissue or repress of OG Pantera albums. But, if you want to knock out some of your favorite songs early on in your collection; I highly recommend this.

Plastic and too much quiet sound. One reason to buy it - cool songs in one LP.

I bought this thinking that it had the best of Pantera, as I had lost my entire album collection a few years ago, well, this is the worst sounding album I have ever heard...the sound has no body or texture, so flat and lifeless...my fault for cheaping out i guess, and buying a compilation album, shoulda know better...if you are thinking about buying this, just stop thinking that way, just stop

This is a nice short hard and fast micro best of but the most important and opening song "Cemetery Gates" had a bad source it would seem. Love the purple marble and all other songs sound spectacular.
