A spectacular holiday album!

...but my copy never should have passed QC at the factory. One of the red splotches was obviously too cool during pressing and that section of the disc is visibly narrower from the edge to the spindle hole (in addition to having at least a dozen audibly scraping defects in each side's first tracks.)

Sounds good and is a great album. However GZ never fails to disappoint. Two giant scratches and muck on the record that at first I thought were a nasty permanent defects. I’m reluctant to buy anything from their factory ever again.

Excellent. When I first heard the song Big Bulbs, I heard Big Balls which makes it a whole other kind of song. Fantastic album. Grab it!

I'm not so big on Christmas music, but I have to admit this is definitely the funkiest Christmas album I've ever heard! 😎 There is not a bad track anywhere on the album. Highly recommended! 🙏

Such a shame that Sharon Jones left this world far too early. She is dearly missed 😢 But her legacy lives on...

Fun, funky holiday music. Sharon Jones 's voice is front and center in the mix, and the Dap Kings accompany her with fantastic R&B instrumentals. There's a little bit of inner groove distortion on side A, if you absolutely hate that kind of thing. But the rest of the album is so good, my ears are forgiving of the audio mishap.

Bosco Mann, Daptone, or whoever needs to hear this: stop shipping these records in paper sleeves and start putting them in nicer inner sleeves. The music deserves better, and so do us listeners. And also repress this album, flippers don't deserve to earn $100 on this record. I saw "Miss Sharon Jones," I know you & the other Dap Kings could use the money from repressing this. 😁

Love this albym! Not an audiophile b/c I don't have the amazing ear for it, but my copy is great and plays well no warping and lays flat

My mam (who's very religious) loves playing this album at Christmas time, she says it makes her feel very Christmassy. In fact, sometimes she listens to it when it's not even Christmas time, like last night, because she says it makes her feel closer to the Lord Savior Jesus Christ the Almighty. So thank you Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, you light up my mam's life with your music, even though it is a bit strange hearing White Christmas in the middle of May!!

I bought two copies of this - both of them are so heavily warped, that they are entirely unplayable.

The first one hundred orders from the Daptone Store were autographed by Sharon Jones. Seems like there should be a note about that.
