I was amazed at this album, which I understand was the result of a bet between TD and a promoter. Just about all of the songs are great, with my favorite being Wish you were here. It's the first TD track my wife says she truly loves (!), and which she got up and danced to - something that made me very happy. I'd forever been trying to convice her of the musical breadth of TD; this album finally convinced her that the band offers something for everyone. She ended up liking most of the other track too.
Thorsten took vocal lead on some tracks and Chris Hausl on others. Their voices, although placed back in the soundfield, take on a haunting soulful quality that renders the effect like nothing before. One track, the Model didn't work for me the first time I heard it, but I grew to love it once I learned to stop expecting it to mimic the original. I now hear it as a very beautiful piece.
Overall the album really worked for me.TD did win the bet. Highly recommended.

OMG I bought this CD knowing nothing about it and wish I wouldn't have now. Can't believe Edgar Froese had anything to do with this release... I've been a TD fan for over 30 years and I'm going to regret filing this disc next to anything else. Listen to these songs if you want to hear some timeless classics DESTROYED. Kraftwerk's 'The Model' DESTROYED. Never thought I'd hear anyone do that to that timeless classic. Hotel California, Wish You Were Here DESTROYED. Forever Young shouldn't have been touched. The music seems alright, its just that singer. He doesn't sound like a native speaker and some of his pronunciation and lyrics just seem dubious.

my expectations of this release wasnt great , i expected good production but nothing more , i was absolutely amazed , the songs instead of just being thrown together have been constructed with a lot of thought and i actually prefer certain ones to the originals , Hotel California is amazing and as an haunting quality which mirrors the core meaning of the songs intended message im sure , wish you was here blew me away also and precious is awesome , a great album and the dream have done it again , highly recommended listening it wont disappoint
