The "melody" could have been borrowed here: Devo - Mongoloid / Jocko Homo. Never thought this could be combined with Nina Simone and her "Rags and Old Iron"

I first heard Love Story on a live BBC Radio 1 show around 1999/2000 time at that time is was simply known as "Untitled". Up until it was released, the test-pressing was one of the most sought after pieces of vinyl and I was chuffed to get hold of the double-pack promo.
The mixes of Love Story are solid, with cracking work-outs from Tim Deluxe (on a more housy vibe) & Bushwacka himself (taking it on a deeper, proggy tip) remixing on the original release. The subsequent Mash-Ups: Sun Story (Love Story vs. Planet Funk's Chase the Sun) and Finally vs. Love Story (which fared better in terms of sales and has to be respected as a good main-stream track, but was never really my thing) were both well-received by dance-floors.
But the best is still the original. A cracking tech-house track with oh-so-much cross over potential - the track has appeared in House, Prog, Tech-House, Breaks even Techno and Trance sets! It has the right amount of dreamy, sweeping noises with a pounding bassline and just the right amount of intriguing noises to keep the dancing masses interested.
Bottom line: This is the finest example of EDM, in my opinion, that has ever been written. As my tastes have changed and altered, this has always been 'one of' my favourites (both personally and in my sets) and it's the long-lasting nature of this track that sees me vote this as number 1!!!
