Celine Dion* – Unison

Given the difficulty in finding a PH press cassette tape of "Unison," it's reasonable to consider it a rare item.

Wow, the resolution of the cover (both sides) is just crap. They could not even find an original LP copy (which is not that hard) to scan. The quality would be waaaaay better, but they scanned a cd, and forgot to set max resolution, I guess))) And, of course, not a single word about remastering (also not a surprise though)

Wow this sounds incredible! So crisp and clear with great separation. There was also no surface noise that I noticed. A great repress!

Sounds very good, tight low end, but between songs there is a wobble, swoosh sound on my copy (US version). The wonderful original inner sleeve image ( a variation of the back cover image) is not included in the new 4 page insert...And the cover compared to the original is bright and obviously not from original high res image but a blown up scan. When you hold them side by side, so much sharp detail is lost.

I love this album! Love it to see Jeff Porcaro performing on this album.

All of these entries are wrong with track no. 2. On every cd and backside it says "If Love Is Out The Question". But why everyone fills in "If Love Is Out (OF) The Question". Why do people make so many mistakes???

It was a tough call to give this 1990 pressing a shot, and sadly it was not worth it. The soundstage on this pressing is pretty narrow, very mids-heavy and generally lackluster. The U.S. CD I have is a superior listen. This vinyl edition is for ultra fans and completists, NOT for those seeking a better listening experience via the vinyl format.

What the hell happened with the recording/mastering of track 5? There is awful clipping together with this beautiful voice singing, starting with short phases, then present nearly all the time from the middle of the song. I already checked the US mastering and Europe, its the same issue. Does anyone know more about it? Is it the same on vinyl, or is there maybe a Japanese mastering on CD without this issue?

Celine Dion was twenty two years old and she released her first english album back in 1990. It was released in Canada on April 2nd 1990 and it was released here in the U.S. on September 11th 1990 when I was about seven and was almost eight. I was in the second grade at South Heights when it came out.
