- I had not heard of this artist or album but saw it at a local shop. It was pricy but pristine, including the insert. I absolutely love it. The pressing is perfect and the music is great.
I can spend considerable time looking for specific music online only to be disappointed by warped, off-center, noisy reissues. Then come across, by chance, this obscure (to me) album and be so blown away. Serendipity. - Edited 5 years agoSIDE A : In a similar vein as Robert Fripp's frippetronics adventures but mixed with some eighties King Crimson ala Robert Fripp - Adrian Belew - Tony Levin combination. Highly recommended ambient guitar album. SIDE B : a lovely minimalist piano composition remembering Steve Reich, Arvo Pärt.
- This album is certainly a predecessor of Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works. Incredibly soothing soundscapes, with guitars, that are a nice organic touch. If you remove the guitars, sounds a lot like Xtal, by Aphex Twin. Liquid And Stellar Music is one of the better early ambient albums I've heard. I found it randomly, friends dad said, "take what you want" from his old record box in the garage! I've listened to it about 10 times in 2 days. 4.5/5 for sure.
