There are very few records indeed i would consider buying without listening to even a second worth of audio... but when i see that seven lions have an EP out - the same seven lions that have been absolutely smashing it with their above & beyond remixes (if this is new information do yourself a favour...) AND that it has Shaz Sparks formerly of DBA providing the vocals...well I'm not sure there's any online payment system that can take my money quite fast enough...
Actually got the CD promo from Ebay - but thats just my personal desire to see the endangered panda of the promo CD kept alive for just a little longer.
Still: for the benefit of good journalism i probably should give the tracks a quick listen before i round off this fanboy love-letter disguised as a review ...so i'll just nip over to Youtube... brb
      ...
...[32.14 minutes of vastly superior, jaw-dropping while blisteringly visceral melodic dubstep pass]
      ...
Well having listened through (and while trying get my blood pressure to drop bellow the levels more commonly found inside Nuclear reactors) I do have one criticism of the EP ...
That there isn't another 7 hours of it.
Not that my bias isn't obvious - but in all seriousness Seven Lions are raising the bar all over the place when it comes to maturity and finesse in dubstep. You really have to be searching for something to complain about if you can't enjoy this straight away on a first listen.
Waiting impatiently for more material from 7Ls
