- Mine loops midway through Capones verse on D2 Black Gangstas . Does anyone's copy do this?
- Thought there were 2 versions of this? One more clear with streaky red and blue splatter and one more prominent red and blue splatter with clear splattered in. But the hype sticker doesn't give details ( I ended up with the first mentioned version though i thought i ordered the more red verion).
As far as sound, the original and 2013 reissue blow this out of the water. The high sounds like piano are ok, but the vocals and bass come across muffled.
I'm happy to have it more as a collectible, I love this album. But if you want the better sound go for the OG or reissue. 
Edited 9 months agoBought my copy from Get on Down, it came pretty warped and they are not even offering a replacement because they assume all their copies have this issue. Heads up for anyone thinking of grabbing this. Super disappointing considering the price of this thing- Edited one year ago

I had this on cassette when it first came out and just recently got this vinyl version. The original has a very lofi, gritty sound just as most rap produced around this time and also had an element of snaps and pops as if you were listening to an old Lp.
Ironically, it sounds as though this had been remastered with a lot more clarity to the vocals and the “record player” sound has been removed. But its nice to hear it cleaned up.
Some very iconic hip hop beats on here. Stick You, Illegal Life, Blood Money. Great NY mid 90s rap.
This version is not 180 grams, but the records aren’t cheaply made. Great sound, every balanced just right. And yes it comes with an insert that looks the same as what came with the OG version. referencing The War Report (2×LP, Album, Stereo) PENV 3041-1

the original UK pressing I have (bought back in 97) does NOT have "thugs paradise", so this description is a bit inaccurate.
