Sonic Youth – Goo

It's funny when people post close-ups of the outer sleeve on ebay because you can't tell if it's actually fucked up or not.

Look, no one who knows this album is thinking it is going to be dynamically awesome........and yet I was surprised. This may be the best I have ever heard this album. It is a great pressing, that is flat and quiet. Nice weight to the record as well.
If you are reading these reviews to decide if you should get this copy, then I recommend it. Is it the best sounding pressing? That I don't know. I don't feel any need to find a better sounding pressing after listening to this rad version!

Put through a full wash cycle then a full autocycle (wash and dry) on my HuminGuru before being played on a Pro-ject DC Evo with Ortofon 2M Blue, through the MM phono stage of the Cambridge Audio Evo 150, to my ears though a pair of Klipsch Heresy IV.

Please Note: My star rating system is based on my own beliefs and a big part of it is based on the amount of times I will actually play it, or how much that album means to me personally.

Very rich soundstage and separation of instruments. It's Sonic Youth at their best. My copy does have a bumping defect around the edge of the record, as evident also by the stylus bumping up and down, it is also a bit crackly in passages - as someone else stated SY is all about noise so the unwanted noise doesn't take away from the listening experience that much and kind of adds a little bit extra to this album. Overall a great pressing for the money.

My copy matches this release in all ways except the "Back To Black" sticker and voucher are not present.

Filthy, but a cleaning took care of that. Vinyl was flat and fairly quiet. Not gonna win any awards but a nice pressing after cleaning.

Bought it new and sealed and my copy was absolutely filthy upon opening. Dust, paper sleeve debris, and even fingerprints. Man. Are records being pressed via sweatshops now?

Hey owners. Is the label sticker of the vinyl white for that version?
Also comes with a red sticker of `Back to Black 60th Anniversary` on the cover sealing?
I find very difficult to find my copy of the album.

The label sticker on the vinyl is normally black but in my case it is white. Also the sealing of the cover has a red sticker of `Back to Black 60th Anniversary`.
