I bought this reissue / compilation in June 2013 only for completeness sake of my Loose Ends collection. This is funny:

When I opened the booklet I immediately noticed that some of the images of covers and record labels were taken from my copies in my own collection as I had submitted them to Discogs. The most obvious one being the Golden Years Remix (VS 795-12 DJ) with track duration, BPM and my signature written on the label.

Several other images were also taken from Discogs, but had been submitted by other users, such as Fuzzi Chase’s copy of TENXDJ 409 (A Little Spice (Gang Starr Remix)).

David Nathan / Donald Cleveland (Re-issue producers) and Roger Williams (Design & Artwork) you owe us a Thank You next time around.

Cheap because it recycles songs from two of their other albums. But guess what, it happens to feature their best song ever. And that would have to be "If My Lovin' Makes You Hot". It's almost a duplicate of "Hangin' On A String", but way better. The lyrics are depressing as hell, and it's very downtempo so it's not even a dance track. The whole rhythm is slow as molasses, but it's not a slow jam either. It's just a bizarre yet captivating song that manages to have a hold on you from beginning to end. When you listen to Carl McIntosh and Jane Eugene go back and forth, they sound the best ever right here, and the synth hooks dominate the whole show. Since I have all of this group's albums, I know everyone of their songs inside/out. Their well known for consistent music, and most of what they've done is very good, but not as good as "If My Lovin' Makes You Hot"
