Show All 53 Reviews- Honestly, you can't go wrong with this for its price. You're paying 25ish bucks for 70 minutes of music on vinyl. That's a steal in today's market no matter how you cut it. Add to that that it actually sounds kinda great and you have yourself a slam dunk product! Highly recommended!

Looking at copies for sale it seems that all copies with inner sleeves don't have the poster!, My poster is partly signed using finger prints.referencing Daydream Nation (2×LP, Album)
My copy has two Side 4 labels. Side 3 has a Side 4 label. I'm curious if anybody else has the same thing with their copy.- Outstanding pressing. Flat, dynamic, very quiet. Get it.
Set up:
Rega P2, upgraded LP Gear stylus (ATN3600DLXVL)
Into a Yamaha Rn303
Into a pair of Elac UF51’s - Just to get this straight:
There are two different pressings of this reissue, and therefore this release should be split in two. The "A" sticker version (with "Super Remastered" on the sticker) has the mentioned misspellings on Silver Rocket and Eliminator Jr. The "B" sticker version (with "Experimental. Uncompromising. Essential") has no misspellings on these titles and is obviously an upgraded repress of the first 2014 version. I have the "B" version and it is perfect. referencing Daydream Nation (2×LP, Album)
This is an amazing sounding version of this legendary album, everything is clear and crisp with the punch you want and expect from such an immense record. Original US copies are hard to come by, so look no further than the original UK to blow you out of the water in quality.- There's no doubt that this is the way to listen to this record. This sounds better than my old CD copy and any of my digital files; the bass is richer and mids/highs are clear.

After cleaning the vinyls and the stylus there are one or two pops left here and there but the difference with my original is beyond comparison. No background noise. The undersleeves were detached but otherwise it's a great box set.- Edited one year agoFrom the early days to Sister, Sonic Youth were my absolute heroes and i sincerly thought by the time they were the best group of the world. I was so excited when Daydream Nation publication was announced and in trance when i bought my copy the day it came out in France. I was puzzled when listening... I didn't like the sound of the record, it was sort of homgeneous in a pale grey horizon. And the 2xLP sounded a bit long to my ears with too many rather boring and unsurprising songs. No more of the sonic assaults and big tides of noise, no more of their unique studio spontaneous sound, making each songs unique. I couldn't believe how disappointed i was...
But well, a concert was announced and i did the 400km drive to go and see them in Belgium. Mudhoney was opening, they were so fun and good ! Then Sonic Youth came on stage, played the entire Daydream Nation 2xLP in the same order, no encore...
And well, even on stage, most of the songs sounded boring to my ears. In comparaison to an unforgettable live i was lucky enough to see some years ago (around Evol - Sister era) suddenly my all time favorite band was boring... It was heart breaking and unbelievable.
It's even more strange when you listen to the Ciccone Youth LP or the peel session they did around the same time, published in the bootleg 7" Speak No Evol. Both of these records contain this typical Sonic Frenzy which use to be their fingerprint, but nothing of this appears in Daydream Nation. So it is clear that they did a choice by the time. A choice i still can't explain or understand...
Am I the only one to have experienced this with this LP ? So many people started to love Sonic Youth from this one, but for me it was the opposite. Goo was a bit better, Dirty was ok and the live I saw in Prague on this tour was great. Then i got more and more disappointed by the other LPs until Thousands Leaves catch my ears again and also NYC Ghost and Flowers, but i just enjoy these records, i don't LOVE them as i use to LOVE the early Lps and Eps...
