referencing FLAvour Of The Weak (CD, Album, Stereo) O-101
I bought this Album/CD when it was new. I think this was the first computer/softwear made music by FLA. Actually, this music is really great and wierd, but I always missed the normal level bass sounds ( not sub-bass ). It sounds like complete music without final mastering. It was a bit disappointment after 'hard wired'. FLA's worst sounding album. - Edited 7 years agoThis album marked a HUGE departure from FLA's mid-1990's style. Pounding beats and sampled guitars have been left out to make way for a breakbeat-filled electronica sound. Make no mistake, however: It's still FLA, and it's dark as hell with the lush atmospheres and epic choruses that FLA is known for.
I recommend this album to anyone that enjoyed "Plasticity," "Implode," or "Epitaph." The Chris Peterson era of FLA had such a distinctive sound that I personally think has aged a bit more gracefully than the sampled guitars of Millennium and Hard Wired (don't get me wrong, though, Millennium and HW are also great).
Clear yellow vinyl edition is gorgeous, and the remastered tracks sound great, especially "Auto-Erotic," "Columbian Necktie," and "Predator."
