Reviews
- Wow, talk about an overachieving pressing! Every aspect is superb.... gatefold is solid and well replicated as is the booklet. Poly lined inner sleeve always good. Pressing is flat, glossy clean and flawless in all regards... basically silent of playback! Most importantly, the sound reveals a very well balanced mastering thats fresh, but with a hint of warmth and good expanse.
The cherry on top??? You get all this goodness for £25. No silly UHQR, 1Step or premium lable extortion required!

This pressing beats the new MOV version for a few reasons. Although the MOV is more dynamic, this pressing sounds in your face and has a more balanced bass. The clarity is stunning and compared to the MOV this sounds tactile and more in your face and the soundstage is wide and lush.
There are two buts and those are the high frequencies, which are not as sparkly as the MOV and the tracking with the last songs on a side are a little bit worse on the EU OG.
But when I listen to the ending of Magic Mind and Jupiter the instruments are a lot more defined, the MOV sounds a bit dull in comparison, which is almost never the case.
Music: 9/10
Pressing: 9/10
Sleeve: 7,5/10
One of my favorite albums of all time. This MOV pressing is top notch on every level…thick & flat 180 gram vinyl, very quiet, and sturdy gatefold with bonus poster. The original blue insert was substituted with a insert but that’s minor. The only regret I have is not getting the flaming gold pressing by MOV.
Edited 2 years agoi've read about some artwork issues regarding MOV releases and whilst i can confirm the sleeve artwork and poster look good enough the insert with the credits and lyrics is SUPER blurry and its hard to read at points. if youre ought to get something right you should get ALL OF IT right.
Edit: sound is indeed something else. idk if this is mixed differently or what, but im loving it.
Edited 2 years agoPure DSD from Analog Master Tape..If you have a true DSD SACD player (which stay in the DSD domain when it releases sound to your pre-amp/DAC), this SACD shines!!. Truly Masterpiece
This is a beautiful pressing hardly any surface noise deep lows that make you groove with the music and the sound of the vocals shakes your soul truly one of my best sounding albums- Edited 2 years ago

i have europe reissue 1986 pressing , and this new music on vinyl sounds really better, with a wide sound stage and much more bass ! maybe too much bass ... - Edited one year agoAlbum Revolution #6:
By this time, "Earth, Wind & Fire" could do no wrong.....
But after dealing with the loss of Mentor and Friend "Charles "Step" Stepney", the Band took a trip to "Brazil".... Once they got back, they were not just refreshed, but inspired as well....For what was told, they were affected by the sounds they heard over there, which resulted in "All 'N All"...
I read that "Verdine" said that this was their HARDEST album to work on...1, Because, now "Maurice" was the MAIN Producer...2, the extent on the Production was just MASSIVE...From start to finish, an album so beautifully crafted that it STUNS the senses....
It starts with the 1st Crown Jewel, "Serpentine Fire"....I heard jokes about People not understanding the song, but it didn't stop them from getting on the Dance Floor when they heard it...
"Fantasy" (the 2nd Crown Jewel), once again has "Philip Bailey" doing what he does Vocally...My youngest Daughter (at 16), goes ABSOLUTELY CRAZY, when she hears "Phillip" just making his Vocal Runs so effortlessly!!!!!!
"Jupiter" was another song that few People understood....It didn't matter though, because the "Phoenix Horns" ("Rahmlee Michael Davis": Flugelhorn, Trumpet, "Louis Satterfield": and "Don Myrick": Saxophone) were the STARS there....
"Loves Holiday" (3rd Crown Jewel) is outright one of my FAVORITES, with "Johnny Graham" on guitar taking it home...
I have really grown to appreciate the album as a whole....
"I'll Write A Song For You" (4th Crown Jewel) is a Dreamy song, laced with "Philip's" Vocals...
"Magic Mind" is a straight up "Funk" workout....
For those who still believe that "EWF" deserted their "Jazz" roots, "Runnin'" will prove them WRONG again (sorry again, that just gets to ME!!!!!) !!!!!!
The last Crown Jewel in "Be Ever Wonderful", is an ABSOLUTE TREASURE!!!!, and again, setting the PERFECT pattern on how to close an album!!!!!!
The other point to make here are the "Brazilian Rhyme" Interludes...As stated earlier, these were inspired from their "Brazilian" trip, with the second one becoming EXTREMELY popular with the "Ba Di Ya's"....
This album was another Classic to an already STUNNING catalog.....In fact, NOW to People's point, THIS would be a hard act to follow....But knowing the "Elements", they still had PLENTY to say and create.......
PS: 7/5/2024.....Yes, I AM beating the SAME DRUM about a 2 LP Re-Issue here....In 1999, "Sony/Legacy" released a CD "Re-Issue" with "Previously Unreleased Bonus Tracks", including:
"Would You Mind (Demo Version Of Love's Holiday)"
"Runnin' (Original Hollywood Mix)"
"Brazilian Rhyme (Recorded Live On Oct. 25, 1980, At Maracanazinho, Rio De Janiero, Brazil)" (even though I not sure about that with the album being released in 1978, but OH WELL!!!!!)
I would also include:
The 12" Version of "Serpentine Fire" (which is 5 minutes long)
The "Fantasy" (special Disco Version) (which clocks around 4:50, I believe)
And like I said before, I would include the "Live Bonus Medley" (a. "Serpentine Fire", b. "Saturday Night", c. "Can't Hide Love", & d. "Reasons"), Performed on a 1978 TV Variety Special starring "Natalie Cole", that was on the "Gratitude" CD Re-Issue released in 1999....I just believe it would fit BETTER here.....
Just sayin'.....
