Willie Nelson – Red Headed Stranger

This 24-bit 96-kHz remaster, issued 39 years after its debut, sounds amazing. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. The soundstage is very wide and deep, making speakers nearly disappear. Willie's vocals are located well in front of the music, like a hologram. Instruments are located with laser precision while sounding utterly natural. Excellent!

A masterpiece pressing of a masterpiece. Rarely does it all come together with such perfection. IMPEX really puts in the time and effort and quality control. Such a great thing to see and hear these days!

One of the most beautiful albums ever made, a dynamite recording & a fantastic sounding LP.

Purchased used, but nice clean copy. Some surface tics, however this pressing sounds very clear and natural.

This album came pre-loaded on my Willie Nelson edition Pono player (the audiophile music player made by Neil Young). This album and its digital and CD masters are so detailed, it's simply one of the best sounding albums there is.

Purchased this sealed, mint new. I felt like it would be risky because it’s such a quiet album with lots of open air and space in the recording. I was pleasantly surprised. There’s a hint of stylus noise but no crackles or pops. At first opening side 1 was covered with dust, debris and fingerprints. Side 2 wasn’t much better. Wet cleaning helped but unfortunately there are fingerprints that will not come off. The overall sound is pretty good but it seems that the cd is clearer and more spacious. 4 stars not 5 for the sloppy packaging from factory. I will definitely listen to this pressing in the right setting considering that a VG or G original pressing might be out of my price comfort zone. This one was new for $21.99 on Amazon.

Wow, the recording and sound quality of this record/pressing and Willie's voice is through the roof. Keeping it as an example of an OG audiphile male vocal record..

Superb sounding pressing, despite being pressed on what feels like wafer thin vinyl. This and 'Stardust' are probably two of the best sounding records in my collection.
