Deep Purple, also known as Deep Purple III, is the third studio album by British hard rock band Deep Purple, Album recorded January to March 1969 at De Lane Lea Studios, London, UK. and released in June 21, 1969. It is the last album to be released by the original line-up (Mk. I ) that's been recorded.
After that, vocalist Rod Evans and bassist Nick Simper were replaced by Ian Gillan and Roger Glover.
For the first three studio albums 1968-1969 performed:
Ritchie Blackmore • lead guitar / Rod Evans • vocals / Jon Lord • organ / Ian Paice • drums / Nick Simper • bass guitar, vocals
After that, vocalist Rod Evans and bassist Nick Simper were replaced by Ian Gillan and Roger Glover.

This is 2nd pressing. The first one has gatefold cover with other EMI record covers (by Grand Funk, Deep Purple) on left part of gatefold.- This is a nice pressing, virtually no surface noise, wide and dynamic soundstage with great solid bass and drums. One of my favorite albums in my collection.

- Mine doesn't came with mp3 download code, but is the same Europe 2016 reissue and matrix. El mio no vino con code para descargar mp3 pero es la misma reedicion del 2016 Europea con la misma matriz.
- Can't compliment this pressing enough. Soundstage is wonderful, it's nice and detailed, the bass is pounding and it's nicely balanced across the board. The mix itself is really good, too, with well recorded, true stereo drums which was a bit of a novelty in 1969.
- is this site kidding? the last image hidden unless we log in is of the famous painting by Hieronymus Bosch (c.1450-1516) "The Garden of Earthly Delights" , what is wrong with you people?
Some of this edition came out on black vinyl like I do discogs don’t mention that thing that’s to bad cause I can’t get Back to the store cause it opened be aware- Any prove why this is a Canadian pressing, not US? All same as https://www.discogs.com/release/4603566-Deep-Purple-Deep-Purple version

The side 1 runout is signed by David Cheppa {Better Quality Sound). That is not the letter "U" that is shown after the code. It's his signature.
Side 2 was cut by him also and the "obscure handwriting" is some scratched out numbers in the runout. His signature is also shown.
I have a 180 gram pressing of this album. It's from Scorpio and it's very legitimate.
This is their best album in my humble opinion :)
