      Gorgeous recorded sound. Walevska's tone is full, round, and beautiful. This is why we listen to classical music! I have never seen this record in the bins where I live (Central TX) but I found it in a record shop in Pennsylvania when I was on a trip and it was an instant cop.

      There is a version with a gatefold, which would be even nicer. The only real complaint I have with this record is that it has an awkward side break. Someone should reissue this on 2 LPs.

      If you see this one, grab it! I got a nice clean copy for $8 but I would pay double if I had to. This is one of those foundational recordings that build a classical music library.
