Citizens is a perfect dream of a track. About 3 minutes long but I'm tempted to buy 2 copies so I can play it into itself a few times and make the 9 minute version. Borderless II is also a ridiculous house stomper. Gotta smile!! :)

Pressing matters aside I think we can all agree that the track 'imaginary lines' is something of a masterpiece?

hm - i seemingly got the 2016 version of this release: http://www.rushhour.nl/distribution_detailed.php?item=92877

It states on rushhour though: "A re-mastered re-release of Fatima Yamaha's debut album from last year. 180grams."

Also - neither does ´ the gatefold cover have the inside artwork as depicted in the images nor is there a download code included...

Can anyone confirm - or is this a different 2016 re-release no yet on discogs...

cheers

I'm curious as to how many pressings of this were made.

Superb pressing. And includes a coupon to download the digital files (that should be more often when we buy vinyl). I have no idea of the quantity that were pressed but don't sleep on this before it's too late

Fantastic album but perhaps Dekmantel could have given it a more proper release.

Great tracks but bad pressing, not that it sounds especially bad, but on each side as it comes to the end the record starts to be very scratchy :(

Obviously, when it comes to the music, this deserves a 5/5 rating. I'm really disappointed with the package though. All 10 tracks being squeezed onto a single LP is not what I expected when it was announced. Surprisingly, the pressing's not as quiet as I thought it would be but it certainly could use a little more "punch", not to mention it's inconvenient when you actually want to play this somewhere and not just listen to it at home.

Also, at a retail price of almost 30€ (at least here in Germany) it doesn't even come with a download code. Should this ever get a reissue on 2x12", I'll go for it and ditch this one. It doesn't do the fantastic productions justice, really.

That being said, hats off to Bas for this amazing piece of music as well as the political message. Titles like Borderless / Love Invaders / Night Crossing / Imaginary Lines couldn't take a more obvious stance against xenophobia and for love and humanity.

Resident Advisor quote:

"Bron's latest album, the first new Yamaha material since the reissue, is just as unimposing. So much so that I'd listened to it half a dozen times before I noticed its political message. There's the album title, of course, plus loaded track titles like "Borderless II," "Shuppatsu" ("departure" in Japanese) and "Night Crossing." The news in 2015 has been dominated by the worst global refugee crisis since World War II, and Imaginary Lines seems to be Bron's own humble commentary on the situation. "
