The track durations above are almost all wrong, since these are edits. For example "Spray it a Super DJ" is not 05:40, but only 03:01, "Yes, yes, yes" is not the long 08:40, but only 06:35 etc. This should be changed. Some tracks on the CD also have the addition "Peanut Butter Wolf Re-Edit), but not all of them. I think this is very notable since it reduces - unfortunately - the value of the compilation.

there is no 'rip off' at all! actually i love this box, while i am in the lucky position to own all the originals, minus the famous 'breakin' and enterin' 12" - that was only printed 25 times in '83- simply because THERE IS NO TAPE ANYMORE...and compared to all the shitty reprints and bootlegs of it, these sound actually pretty cool. so: only THREE of all the songs in this box are vinyl transfers, two of them come from this most rare item, the other is 'yes yes yes'...and even that one is specially reworked and cut together from the vocal and instrumental. EVERYTHING ELSE is taken from the original tapes, and it took him and peanutbutterwolf two years to do all that editing, re-recording and beefing-up. actually this box contains tons of surprises for anyone knowing the original releases on wax. examples?

'kinky nation' has a brand new beat done with an 808, instead of a 505/626...'i cry' sounds a lot more massive and the vocoder is way better to understand, too. 'girls' is completely different than the 12", dubbgirls, or the album version. so are 'my house', or 'dance'...as if that wasn't enough, there's also a completely unreleased tune called 'electric encounter', that was supposed to be a follow-up to 'computer power'. 'voices' is the only song that got substantially shortened, and actually he left off the 'weird part' in the middle, which actually improves the songs floor-aptitude. on top of it, there is a 12" sized booklet coming with it, containing interesting notes, pictures and photographs that makes every real EL-fan happy.

'planet e' and 'i want cha' are left off, because they were released on 'priority records' while he had a contract with jerry heller - just like NWA did back then, and i guess it was too much of a legal battle he wanted to avoid.
how do i know it's only three transfers? i simply asked him. i doubt he's lying on a friend, actually he's a very honest and reliable dude. so calling it a 'rip off' is total BS! there are not too many projects in old school electro of the same value and input...actually there is nothing like it.

Sadly many of the tracks are vinyl transfers. Also some tracks have been edited and shortened...
