No problems with my copy in terms of surface noise, although some of the tracks are quite quiet and so tiniest bit of dust sends the needle skating off towards the centre.

Fantastic album. I had heard Plaid just in passing before but had never really gotten to into him. Saw this record at a local store and the artwork instantly popped out at me, so I picked it up. What a great surprise, I love every track.

My copy has some minor popping during the first half of A1, but other than that, I was blown away by the quality of this press. 95% of it is completely devoid of and surface noise, pops or cracks. Just pure music and silence. Perhaps I just got lucky with mine, sorry to hear about the pressings some of you have received.

As someone on RA said: "this is such a grower". At first it felt underwhelming. And then, starting with "held" everything song became a gem. This album is so insanely consistent in quality all over and so very Plaid'ish.
5/5 at least!

I love this album... it's synths are reminiscent of Rest Proof clockwork, and are wonderfully etherial. Other tracks (CLOCKS, Baby Step Giant Step) are, dare I say,, more dance floor orientated... They would sound great in a Roman Flugel set!

A different sound of the previous albums of Plaid, but the more you listen, the more you like, great band !

Anyone else have a copy that sounds like there are major pressing errors? I purchased 2 copies brand new at a local record shop, and both have a horrendous scratchy distortion thing going on on the right channel on quite a few tracks. Shame because this is one of Plaid's best albums ever in my opinion. Fantastic album.
