Two masters of the Berlin School let loose with their creativity in an arrestingly modern setting; no desire here to revisit the past, just that Baumann touch all over. Baumann and Haslinger explore new aesthetic and ensure in so doing the present is as memorable as the past. Often dark but organic and uplifting; an uncompromising forward looking double album full of experimental playfulness and elegance (2nd disc is even more impressive). Do not expect any Walkyrie like sequencing, just lose yourself in all its mind tickling nooks and crannies and let yourself drift along its unpredictable meanders; there is a surprise around every corner; in that respect Neuland is not that dissimilar in spirit to its prestigious ancestor Atem. As Electronic Sound put it, "featuring two heavyweights from TD's past, 80's member Paul Haslinger and 70's deity Peter Baumann, Neuland is a collaboration that will please anyone of an orange persuasion. The Dream Team". The best electronic album in 2019 (which turned out to be a vintage year for Haslinger who released the splendid Exit Ghost within a few weeks!). Neuland Kubrick-like visuals are equally brilliant (Nautilus).

Need to play the BluRay in a completely darkened room at night with the visuals on the TV providing the only source of light and the BluRay's 2ch audio expanded to Dolby surround. An amazingly surreal experience. Wonderful album. I hope they do more.

good album.
only that in some moments there is the feeling that the album never "takes off" ever...
I personally prefer Peter's masterpiece: Machines of Desire..but this is really good
