Mine is cracking quite badly at the end of H friend. I am wondering if it was a pressing defect.

Excellent remix by Kerrier District (Luke Vibert) bumps it up to 128bmp.

Tracks 1 and 3 end abruptly on the original 1978 LP, but on this CD they've been faded out at the end.

It's very good, and I'm sure the guys who did it deserve recognition, but it sounds very much -maybe too much- like Giorgio Moroder's "From here to eternity" LP. I recommend anyone who likes this to listen to the mentioned LP and compare.

this was the initial EP release for export outside uk.
for uk, punters were supposed to buy the 2 x 12" singles or the cd. there was also a 7" white label pressing prepared (in case it charted) containing 'timing...' and the track not featured on the other formats but i gave it away when i was drunk >sniff<

This is an unbelievably amazing record. Fair play to Rephlex for the re issue, I can't believe that anyone could have conjured it up. H Friend is totally unreal, amazing messed up moving vocals and wacky synth lines, just phenomenal.

Oh my God!!!!!......I thought part of my childhood was a dream!! "H" Friend - has been in my mind for so long now, I forgot it was real. Thankfully this re-release has put me straight. This has to be one of the finest examples of elektro/synthpop tunes there is. The kind of release that would make Kraftwerk stay in their studio for 5 years!! Groundbreaking and professional. Haunting vocals!! A very forward-thinking EP. Soars so high above modern Elektro-Cla$h it's hard to see any connection.
