I actually have the original record made by Sharon Prabhakar and Musarrat Nazir. If I'm right, these singers came from India and Pakistan, but the record is really influenced by the late 70's disco vibe (one of them lived in Canada in the 70's, so maybe this was the trigger?). Mike's edit here is incredibly well done and really necessary for this track. At least, now it's possible to play the track for a broader audience instead of just for the disco heads. Love it!

'Disco Child' is an edit of Chal Disco Chal by Sharon and Musarrat. A really nice and uplifting Indian disco song. This edit makes no sense, maybe mr Burns wanted to cut out the so calles cheesy parts. But what he forgot was that they make the balance of the song just right, and make the funky parts even better. As with most edits, you better buy the original. For genuine edits that makes sense, get some Loud-E, Jaz, Black Cock or some Pilooski.
