Located in the heart of Somerville, MA’s Union Square, Vinyl Index is a communal space to learn about music. We pride ourselves on being a bright and welcoming record store with a distinctive and diverse selection. A mix of new and used records adorn the walls and bins featuring a healthy dose of Indie, Hip Hop, Electronic, Wave, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Reggae, World, and Soundtracks plus dedicated staff picks, local, new and re-issue sections. A sum of all its parts, we also have mail order, a Kids 45 Record Club, Vinyl Index Records exclusive vinyl pressings, music curation & programming services, an ultrasonic vinyl cleaning service, and now events with drinks! Our newly expanded space provides a 10ft long bar with stools and communal bench seating for guests to relax at with a beverage in hand.
