Alice Goldberg-FitzHugh and Will FitzHugh decided to combine their interests in Japanese animation/comics and music into one business and opened Purple Narwhal Music & Manga in September 2016.We sell all genres of music on LP, 45, CD and cassette. In addition to the music we have a large selection of manga and anime (Japanese comics and animation), and also sell t-shirts, gifts and audio equipment. We sell used and new releases.
Alice has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Massachusetts of College of Art where she majored in graphic design. She has always been interested in Asian art and architecture and got into Asian animation, television dramas, and comics about five years ago. She grew up in Rockville.
Will has degrees in Math and Computer Science and is a consultant to the biotechnology industry. He grew up in Kensington and shopped at local record stores like Yesterday & Today, Joe's Record Paradise and Vinyl Ink. He plays guitar and sings in the punk band MEATBOT.
