Long a favourite of the discerning music fan (as well as the odd celeb – The Beastie Boys, Bon Iver, Johnny Marr, The Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Oasis, The Smashing Pumpkins, Martin Freeman, Chris Isaak, and Robert Plant have all shopped with us, with a wide array of CDs, vinyl LPs, 78s and 45s, tapes, posters, tee shirts and DVDs.
We have also hosted some pretty amazing instores; The Brunettes, Lawrence Arabia, Courtney Barnett, The Phoenix Foundation, Tami Neilson, The Wedding Present, Neil Finn, Kurt Vile, The Mutton Birds, Nadia Reid, Connan & The Mockasins, Lou Barlow, Tiny Ruins, Dave Dobbyn, Robert Forster, amongst others.
Our staff possess knowledge of all types of music – from rock’n’roll, pop, blues, metal and soul, to indie, reggae, jazz, electronica, hip hop, dub, world music, NZ music and everything between and beyond – if you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, Slow Boat should be your first port of call.
