Description
Since April 2002, the record shop WAX-ART has existed in Friedrichshain near the lively Boxhagener Platz. The shop is run by the owner Andreas Greiner. The name of the record shop is a combination of the English slang term "wax", which means record, and the English term "art", which can be translated as art. Andreas Greiner sees records as complete works of art composed of music, lyrics and the individually designed covers, which is reflected in the name of the shop. The record shop is attached to a music bar where live music is regularly on the programme. Music lovers can get inspired by live music at this place, buy cool drinks at the bar and browse through the records hand-picked with much love for music, lyrics and cover design by the owner of the record shop. The selection of records is diverse and serves a wide range of musical genres, so that the right WAX can be found in the shop for almost every taste.
