Icky Thump: There was an episode of the UK comedy show (early 1970s) The Goodies called "Kung Fu Capers" that featured an imagined martial art called "ECKY THUMP" (Both “ecky” and “thump” are obscure UK euphemisms for hell.) The episode gained notoriety at the time because some guy in the UK died laughing(!) while watching it. I think that's where The White Stripes got the name for the LP.

Folks, does anyone else have CD copy with barcode „5099950171323“? I don‘t see it there. Matrix suggests it was distributed by EMI.

One of the absolute worst sounding CDs I've ever heard. The songs are great, but the production is horrendous. This was the CD that got me into vinyl - avoid it at all costs. Buy the original 2007 LP! (The iTunes/Spotify/mp3 versions are just as bad.)
