Notes

Track 1 originally released on "Stuart Dempster in the Great Abbey of Clement VI"; originally an Arch Records LP (Stuart Dempster - In The Great Abbey Of Clement VI #S-1775), re-released on New Albion (Stuart Dempster - In The Great Abbey Of Clement VI CD#013).
Track 2 originally released on "Underground Overlays from the Cistern Chapel", New Albion (Stuart Dempster - Underground Overlays From The Cistern Chapel CD#076).
Tracks 3 and 4 recorded at Long San, a Kenyah longhouse on the banks of the Upper Baram River in Eastern Sarawak, Malaysia.
Track 5 recorded at Long Laput, a Kayan longhouse in the lower Baram region of eastern Sarawak.
Track 6 recorded Jan 1, 1998.
Tracks 7 and 8 recorded 1989 at Long Kegaman Lasa on the Belaga River, central Sarawak and performed by an unnamed Kejaman woman in her sixties.
Tracks 9 to 18 are ten sections excerpted from a continuous 90-minute improvisation on David Tudor's sound table on January 9, 1999 at Southampton, UK.
Tracks 19 and 20 were performed for a piece entitled "Polarity", in Paris, October 1990 for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company.
Tracks 21 to 27 is the only known recording of Tudor performing this piece of Wolpe's and were probably recorded in 1956. These tracks are taken directly from a radio broadcast in Germany; intermittent radio interference is evident
