Quad – Quadraville E.P.

Decent IDM release with Aquaville as the star. It is quite different from Quad's earlier output, had this been released on a label like GPR it would have got a lot more attention, I find it rather misplaced on Kinetix that focused on the flavors of trance at the time.

Worth having for "Aquaville", a sweet downtempo track with a string sample to die for. The other tracks have some decent ideas in them, but some well dodgy ones too, and they're showing their age quite a bit. Quite representative of the Kinetix label in general - patchy and a bit confused, but they knocked out some real gems.

You can find "Aquaville" on a number of compilations as well, so it's a fairly easy find.
