Edited one year agoThe "remastered" 2019 version is a waste of time since there is almost no difference to the original aside of being round about -1dB and a tad more compressed even. I often wonder what kinda genius "engineers" put this crap together. Thing is, the original album is probably the worst sounding from Grendel's entire library and could have needed a proper remaster. There is notable bad clipping present on several tracks but the outro instrumental "In Solitude" is probably the worst offender. It just doesn't sound good and could have easily been fixed by fixing the original masters or declipping the thing via any audio engineering software solution, in fact I have done this years ago already for my own self. I feel like I wasted my money on this new version. Cover art is also the most bland of all but guess it was done to not offend the new generation Karen's.- worst fucking cover art I have ever seen.
