- My copy sounds great. Dead quiet and flat as a pancake. Originally had the standard black copy which came warped and sounded terrible. My only concern with these Limited Edition pressings is the stiff plastic outer sleeve which may end up 'gassing' your records.....
- Edited 5 years agoI got a standard black replacement version from Bella Union in the end... clear as a bell. Think there's a case for a repress on the coloured as they are ridiculously noisy and distorted.
- I’ve now had a replacement copy to my original one which had bad noise/popping throughout. Unfortunately the replacement was no better. I assume then the coloured UK vinyls were badly pressed. Can anyone say if the standard black were better?!
- I was lucky enough to pre-order and get the bonus 7". My US copy, although slightly off-centered, is very quiet and sounds great. Yes, it is not 180gr (145-150gr), but I believe it was never advertised to be 180gr. The color of the vinyls are beautiful metallic, marbled (aluminum & copper). I do see there is a version listed with a sticker of FJM caricature with a cellphone included in addition to the tarot card.
- I don't know, maybe I'm in the minority here but both records (colored, UK press from the Deluxe edition) play flawlessly on my system (Ortofon 2M Bronze) and look pretty cool to me. One thing is that they don't seem to be 180 gr. ones, more like 140-160 if you ask me but since I don't have an scale I can't be sure, in any case I do think it's kind of pricey anyways but well, I knew that already. Mine (fortunatelly) came with the aditional 7", probably because I preordered the next day when you were able to do so.
- Have to agree with the previous reviews....the UK-version looks nothing like advertised. It has a very plastic-like look and though it seems to be pressed at Optimal it is relatively noisy (constant "swoosh"). Absolutely not worth the money! I suggest buying the US version at Amazon (56 Euros including shipping to Europe) or the standard black pressing!
- I'm a bit disappointed with this release. It's not that the UK-Version is totally overpriced, i knew that and it was ok. But the coloured pressing itself looks different from the US-Version. The Vinyls are just "plain" Silver and Copper coloured. Not "marbled" like the US-Pressing, wich is way more cooler....
- PROS: The Music itself. Also, the interchangeable cover really does look nice.
CONS: No 7" came with my copy. The colored vinyl has surface noise and nonfill-issues from time to time.
Despite the fact that this limited "deluxe" edition does look cool, I felt buyers remorse instantly after unwrapping. The Eu-pressing is way overpriced, the coloured vinyl is far from silent or audiophile and last but not least, there was no "Real Love" 7inch inside my package! I dig the music, but paying 56 Euros for this special edition feels like a total rip-off to me. Wish I would have gone with the standard pressing instead.
