Lovin’ it. This sounds better than it did in the 80s. I must say that I was listening to a cassette tape of this album on a tinny tape recorder back in 82-83 LOL. When I first heard it I instantly had to hear more of The Clash. Joe Strummer is the MAN! Such a great artist. I see other reviews here about this album pay respects to Tim Young for remastering it. Are there other albums he’s remastered that are worth checking out?

    Favourite tracks:
    Straight To Hell
    Overpowered By Funk
    Should I Stay Or Go
    Rock The Casbah

Never liked the album too much, Just now I know why: the mediocre CD mastering pushes the 80's elements to a max, in a rather unpleasant way.
Tim Young's Clash remasters are all diamonds, I don't think anyone could do them more justice. Phenomenal!!!

And yes, Combat Rock is another fine album, sadly the last as the band that soon became history...

Spot on remastering, of equal or better next to the original UK pressing. Flat vinyl, no surface noise, centered and very balanced sound across the spectrum. Wide soundstage, punchy bottom, and uncompressed high end. Well done Sony !
