Another 1974 masterpiece, an ensemble of all round absolute pedigree talent, & a certain pair of notorious jazz-funk brothers on the buttons, as well as multi- instruments & vocals. I wonder if Larry & Fonce slept during the 70's?
To pick one track is a crime, but 'New York Times' is unreal: It is a poignant snapshot of 1974 NYC; a melting pot of culture & diverse communities, tensions raised amidst looming financial crisis & the music carrying the torch of hope & defiance. It is all in 'New York Times', what a record... - So good. Rain Again is an absolute slammer. I mean that figuratively, of course. It's a great tune to chill out to...thank you Bobbi.
