- As cartox says it does 'Sound Incredible' - could be viewed as BADs 'Sandinista!' but on 2 sides of vinyl.& for the curious it appears no shortage of copies available!.. in many ways this was the end for BAD - on & inside the (rather ugly) sleeve it would appear the group was now a Jones/Williams/Letts trio..with Jones very much upfront ,in the middle .it seems he was invigorated by the dance/rave & North West scenes that hadn't(yet) created top quality LPs - so who better to 'Record events' & ' set standards' as (for many)the The Clash debut LP did? . & despite its fragmented nature there are some 'Bangin' Tunes' (as was) Union - Jack, House Arrest ,James Brown & there's plenty going on in the mix from the 'ring the alarm' onwards for listeners ..it certainly has faults e.g. repeating his former bands habit of self reference- occasionally to amusing affect 'is that a Sampled Clash riff- or the Kinks?' & there was always the 'shouldn't someone a bit younger be doing this' feeling ,but it's more enjoyable than BADs 'Tighten Up vol'88' & stands up better than the Soup Dragons & other 'Indie Dancer-chancers' ... it's unlikely it will ever be viewed as 'Screamadelica', 'Blue Lines' ,'the White Room' & others are ,but it was a good try & always worth an occasional listen .(6 or 7/10... depending on mood )
- It's amazing how much they crammed onto this LP because it still sounds incredible, very full and detailed sound with a wide stereo range. If you can get a copy, get a copy! Amazing album.
- A stand out LP from a unique collaboration. I have a version stamped:
