Show All 19 Reviews- Just broke out my copy for the first listen in awhile. I saw it's being released again and couldn't remember how I felt about this. Result - Good pressing, my copy is flat and quiet. It is not the most dynamic release you'll ever hear, though some songs sound better than others as I'm guessing the sourcing is varied. Good release, not great, but certainly a fun batch of music.
- Average pressing, dynamics are muted. Mildly disappointing considering how great the music is. Hope another company gives this the press it deserves.
- My copy has a little warp to it. Great album but stick to digital because it sounds exactly the same. This will just take up shelf space.
- It sounds solid, though not amazing. Sometimes I think people get a little trigger happy with the five-star button. Also ownership bias is a thing.
This sounds like it was cut from good quality digital sources and my pressing didn’t have some of the other issues folks mentioned. It WAS covered in paper sleeve dust and needed a good cleaning in my SpinClean. Listening now, it does sound solid and enjoyable. Mine did come with the extra cd as well. Worth it if you’re a Seattle scene fan and can find this at a reasonable price. - I just got a copy of this - and side 2 is littered with non-fill making it unlistenable. It’s all over the entire side and it also looks incredibly nasty.
How this left the plant I will never know. Sadly the store won’t take it back and Sony won’t respond. Great. - Edited one year agoAmazing sounding reissue that’s nicely cut. This is highly recommended if you love this soundtrack. And not to mention the bonus tracks that come in the CD. Absolutely worth every penny.
The only downside is that my second LP comes a little bit warped. I reckon this is due to it being shrinkwrapped and pressed tightly against the CD that was slotted in between the gatefold sleeve. - Fantastic RE as others have said. I happened to move to Seattle the same year this came out. It's weird how nostalgic this movie and OST make me. This movie got a lot right.
- This is a pretty high quality reissue! I do not have an original pressing of this soundtrack but I do have an original pressing of a Mother Love Bone EP and 'Chloe Dance/Crown of Thorns' sounds much better on this reissue. Definitely worth picking this up as the original seems to fetch absurd prices these days.
