Reviews
- very good.. better than soup which is saying a lot, but it is also the most similar release to that one as someon else mentioned
- Edited 5 years agoThe intro track is magnificent. Then returns... where it ended with Soup from 1998... which is not bad, because it's very good album. Thank you for comeback, Bola! Musically very good album, invention is rather low.
One thing that bother me with this very good album... it's typical child of loudness war mastering and that is shame with electronic music of this high quality. Almost every song is trapped in noise spasm like canned sardines, music can't breath as freely as it deserves, color of individual sound is suppressed, bass doesn't have contures and mostly consists of plain hum, highs can be scratchy at times. I know, it's electronics, not jazz. But little bit of dynamic space for sound to breath would be marvelous here, electronical sounds can be so diverse and beautiful. - Another great release from Bola Aka mr fitton from skam sounds to electronic & of cause to a beautiful closing ambient electronic track doesn't get better than this congrats to the man himself 5/5
- Great album from Mr. Fitton, I'm happy he's back. Vinyl has beautiful presentation and great, clean sound. No complaints, really glad I sprung for this over the CD.
- Loving it, esp. Landor 50X2 - nice and spikey! Also loving the new pun (although I had to look it up! (D.E.G. (Boiled Egg)) following on from Soup (Bowl of Soup), Fyuti (Bowl of yew tea), Gnayse (Bolognaise), Kroungrine (Crown Green Bowler)
- Darrell Fitton returns to his Bola guise after a decade of silence, and what a return it is. I haven't even listened through the album yet I'm giddy as a fox in a henhouse - this is brilliant. Highly recommended.
