Reviews
- I happened across this box for $8 at a suburban Dallas/Fort Worth Half Price Books. There are still undervalued gems out there, folks!
- Even better than the first volume IMO - Brilliant time capsule from a club millions wish they had been to but few actually did - ground zero for modern club culture
- I have Vol 1 as well. I would rate these more than 5 stars if I could since they are amazing pieces of history. Pressings are perfect and the booklet is great. Only downside is that the ink (probably vegetable based) used for printing tends to get moldy very easily - keep an eye on them!
- In my copy both the second and third vinyls have the same label, although the music is correct. Has anyone else experienced this?
- Edited 20 years agoAn absolutely essential compilation for the vinyl enthusiast. Everything here is total classic, and mostly difficult and/or expensive to find on vinyl. Nuphonic did an excellent job, but went belly up shortly after this successful series of Loft classic reissues. Even at $200 and up, this box set is a better bargain than a complete set of original pressings would set you back. I can't wait to see what's next up David Mancuso's sleeve.
