- AFX and EOD/CN both have their own sound! Surely one made music before the other and one was hugely influential already a long time ago. The harmonics and moods of the melodies of these two, are very distinct though, and I do not hear AFX in EOD/CN melodies or vice versa. It's not always necessary to compare. Artists in their own right.
- Strong EP, all tracks are great and far better than AFX stuff of the last 15 years. Would any of the Analords sound like this it would have been cool!
- Edited 5 years agoMight be just me, but while I enjoy the EP at "intended" playback speed of 33, I find myself quite enjoying tracks A1, A2 and--to a lesser extent--B2 played at 45. A1 in particular really does it for me at 45. It's right on up there with some of my favorite D&B-tinged, 'Braindance' releases and artists.
I don't mean to take away from the experience the record produces at 33. Both approaches are most pleasant (and pleasantly different).
Not sure if this is intentional or a "happy accident"; regardless, its made it one of my favorite releases of 2017.
