Reviews
- Edited 3 years ago(in my opinion) This is the logical direction that progressive rock should have gone in years ago. Something very synthy, yet also quite heavy. And yes, I know that it's more than just a progressive rock album, but that's the main feel I get from this record. It's like Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's "Tarkus" or "Brain Salad Surgery", but sped up, and with a clearer musical direction and goal.
It's really just a great album. I thought the vocals would be the weakest part, with the drumming holding the most importance, but they really found a way to give the vocals some emotion and prominence in the layered and often heavy mix.
