In a 2005 interview with Eddie Bo he recalled the studio session in which "From This Day On" was recorded, he recalled James Black his session drummer in the late 60's getting so angry with a session horn player during the takes because he kept missing the notes. Black got up from his drums walked over to the horn player took the horn, preceded to hit him repeatedly with it. Black then played the notes perfectly for him on his own instrument and handed it back to him. Black died in 1988 of a drug overdose. No matter what you think, it's a great story.
