I find that this pressing will sometimes have the white lettering with the same matrix numbers as the label style was in transition? Hard to find clean copies of this whether black or white label lettering but the sound is very good otherwise.

‘She Belongs To Me’….among the most beautiful and endearing songs ever written. One-hundred and sixty-eight seconds of pure magic.

I've read somewhere that the low-end on this release wasn't properly mastered which causes skipping. I have a copy that looks nice on the surface with just sleeve scuffing so it seems, but Maggie's Farm and Love Minus Zero are unlistenable because of skips. Does anybody have any confirmation on this?

I love this record, and it's difficult to measure how important Bob Dylan and this recording was in the history of modern music. What direction would the Beatles have gone in if they hadn't met Dylan and listened to this recording? Dylan says so much on this record. You could argue that this is the first folk rock album (it's the first to feature Electric Dylan), you could argue that he invents rap on Subterranean Homesick Blues, it wouldn't be outrageous to say Dylan invented modern rock music. Lyrically it's impassioned, he's amusing, angry, romantic and mystical in places. The B-Side which is Dylan playing acoustic is seriously powerful stuff, there's no humour here, it's beautiful, and it's one of, if not the most, perfect sides of vinyl ever pressed.

I'm trying to track the best pressing based on the master tapes. Any suggestions please?

            Thanks
