- Edited 5 years agoMuch respect to the comment from well aware Discoger wordsforthepictures as all sealed original US pressings have the large red hype sticker in upper left hand corner.
I see many sellers here trying to pass of alleged US original sealed copies without the red hype sticker at extortionate prices over the years, so buyers beware!!!!
Oh and yes this is an absolutely essential classic for hiphop lovers world wide as this duo were influential in the development of real modern day hiphop. - To me, this is the best Hip Hop album of all times. Surely a classic record, this Eric B. & Rakim debut was both the pinnacle of Old School rap and the blueprint of a Golden Era New School album. Rakim basically invented flow, he comes with coolness but also strength, making him the true God MC. Every single track is an all-time classic, it is impossible to name the best one. This album, especially Rakim's flow and ahead-of-time lyrics, inspired later great Rap artist such as Nas, Guru and Big L. If you do not own it yet, and I suppose you do, then you should not waist any more lifetime by missing the best Hip Hop album ever, Eric B. & Rakims "Paid In Full"!
- Edited 10 years agoNext to Mantronix-Music Madness LP this was yet another ground breaking album for that time.
