love this record so much. so wait, there are a lot of comparisons to Quadrophenia “Paradise” and assuming by association their other release “Love, Joy and Happiness.” Both of those records hold a special place in my heart and are staples of my sets. As well as “Let’s Dream Together.” I have never once thought one influenced the other as the whole genre basically has this sound.

While there is a mild resemblance (it’s not the same chord progression at all) the track from A Way Of Life “Trippin On Your Love” (especially the Subliminal Club Edit) is the exact same chord progression. And WAIT, it gets better… “Trippin On Your Love” is a cover of The Staple Singers song of the same name. So yea, this is basically a dream house take on The Staple Singers. Look it up and listen and have your mind blown like me 🤯

I remember buying this vinyl at a Schauland hi fi department store in Hamburg way back in November 1990. It was inside a bargain box for DM 3.95 (so not even 2€) and nowadays I am surprised that I have found it at a Schauland which used to be quite a large chain for all kinds of electrical equipment and not even at an import vinyl store. At the end of 1990, the hype around the Ambient Italo House genre was basically just over and I hardly bought it - just the price convinced me. I also thought that it was Italian at the time - not only because of the sound but also because of the words on the label. In 1989 an Italian House record came out by Severo Lombadoni on his newly founded label “New Age” which sounds very close. The moniker he used for this project was “Quadrophenia” and the track was “Paradise”. The subtitle of “Let’s Dream Together” is “Paradise - The Next Step”. By coincidence? Anyways, only when submitting it to my Discogs collection, way back in 2002, I have realized that it was Danish. But still - this all just by coincidence? :)

One of the most beautiful deep house trax you’ll ever hear. Not sure why only 50 copies were pressed but this desperately needs to be reissued.
