Reviews
- This record i would never get rid off, for me the tracks on this really got me into Hardcore as it was called at the time, had tracks on cassette and thats it i was converted fully never looked back ,favourite track Special Request love the keboards sounds in it especially and the samples do it proud big up Manix ,underrated mainly for many pressed i imagine but for those that know had to leave a personal review on this,2023 still listening to dnb jungle.
- A little more digging led me to find out the piano originates from Sterling Void "Don't Wanna Go"... Off course I'm stating the near-obvious here cause I read that in the comment of Outrage's "Tall And Handsome". It seemed a usefull addition to me.
- Can someone tell me the house tune that the piano on real good comes from. The one where she talking about he's gotta dark and handsome (or something) and he's got to be real!
thanks - Edited 2 years agoThat synth in the first bars of track one sounds awfully familiar. It's on the tip of my tongue, something-something-Incubus-303 (though not that Incubus. Likely a distorted memory, there was quite some distraction back in the day;-)
I've searched on these terms and it doesn't pop up. I've sifted through tons of "house/rave compilation CD's" from the early 9ties because that's where I know that synth/track from. I did find out that CD was kept in the wrong case cause I did find that compilation. But that's definitely not the one.
Anyone?. - Manix is amazing. This record is hot, it sounds real clean and funky. Hardcore is not really my thing, but Manix stands out. Four sick tracks right here, so clean, so funky.
- This release enabled Reinforced to pay off the debts they owed to the pressing plant for the Combat Dancin' EP. They had pressed up lots of copies due to the popularity of Mr. Kirk's Nightmare, but the distributor went bankrupt owing them over £23,000.
