One of the best songs, but that Frankie Francis mix takes it to another level altogether. Must own!

Really enjoy the sound of these edits. But sadly on Only You, they removed the absolute best part of the song :((
"Take it, take it, take it!"....those vocals are what made this song so great, and its missing from the edit

A wonderful piece of proto-African boogie, that is always certain to get the ladies moving, and wobbling their bottoms on the dancefloor. It is also very good too, if you are actually called Steve, and you are a firefighter. This is because the lyric "Only you Steve, can put out this fire" which is repeated many times during the song, is a superb motivational mantra to chant to boost your confidence, as you tackle a raging and out of control inferno.

I'm a big fan of this record - but has anyone else had a nightmare mixing during the outro of the edit? There is a double snare around 7 mins 30, meaning that even if everything is perfectly in time the tracks clang. (ie. kick, snare, kick, snare, kick, snare, snare, kick, snare...). Unfortunately I worked this out when playing in front of 1500+ people.

Just chiming in to say that not only are these mixes/edits reeeeeaaalllly nice, but the pressing/quality is just superb. Bass on Only You is just killer!

Jeez this is so good. Nick and Dan have done a great job on the Hafi Deo edit. But for me the other side is the absolute killer. Almost beyond genre definitions, its a dirty, sexy slice of Nigerian electro-funk that sounds as fresh now as it did 35 years ago. The original is, of course, great, but Frankie Francis has done a great job on the edit mix, just adding enough of a contemporary crispness without messing too much with the original formula. Trust me, you need this tune.
