A collection of cds with the typical happy hardcore sound of the 90's. Fast, occasionaly hard with piano melodies and feminine vocals. A typical dutch hardcore sound. It's quite different from the hardcore we are listening today. Happy Rave, Thunderdome and Rave Mission ruled between the years 1994 - 1996. Of course, also there are others collection with great songs. So, if you still like this kind of music you have a lot of choises in listening.

In my oppinion this is 1 topclass compilation! It contains all the top classic rave/hardcore tunes that ruled the dutch rave/hardcore scene in 1995.
I've been listening hardcore from the beginning and this was an ERA. 1995 and 1996 were the best years of hardcore in my vision and this CD reflects just that. Also this compilation is the best (or at least one of the best in the serie). Happy Rave and Happy Rave 2 are in my oppinion the best of this serie and the best CD's around. I think that some people don't credit or even discredit some older CD's like this and for example 'Hypnotrance - The Intergalactic Hardtrance Collection' (wich infact is hardcore to). Just because they haven't expierenced the time and feeling while and credit things because of hypes on wich they flow. If you want to follow hypes you lose track of music that is actually really good. These CD's are a good reflection of this time and above all really good. Not one bad song. If you don't like the music respect it because this CD was the standard and contributed greatly to what now is the (harder) hardcore scene. This is 100% hardcore gabber!
