Tracy Chapman – Let It Rain

The career of Tracy Chapman got off to a lightning start in 1988. Both her debut album (Tracy Chapman) as the single Fast Car in that year won the top of the charts. The introverted singer knew virtually on her own the tradition of socially engaged singer/songwriters alive, dominated by synthesizers and drum computers during the 1980s. In the years that followed took the massive attention for her person but Chapman remained in the Lee plates that were worth the trouble of listening. Let It Rain is the sixth album in its rich oeuvre. Striking is the collaboration with producer John Parish, which is mainly known in the alternative rock (including Sparklehorse, PJ Harvey, Eels).
