Reviews
- А мне 2015 нравится. Тихий только. Но на хорошей аппаратуре, которая не создает своих шумов, звучит отлично
- Sounds absolutely amazing! Wasn't expecting this sonic quality, also the packaging feels premium which is always nice! 😊
- Just acquired this today...sounds absolutely brilliant! Rega p6, ania pro, aria III, proac speakers. Clean, great soundstage, beautiful presentation. Lovely gatefold... very, very happy!. You won't be disappointed
- This press fucking kicks ass. Everyone that says it sounds bad, what is yall talking about? This is a banger of a press...
- My version has the black sticker. My copy is good. Very little surface noise - not audiophile level pressing quality but above average. No distortion on Changes or elsewhere via my Ortofon 2M Bronze. I am not well versed enough on this album to discuss mastering, but the pressing is good. I recommend this.
- This version sounds pretty bad overall, I don't have any other version to compare it to, but I hope they sound better.
- My copy came clean Sounds good just lacks a bit of the 'drama depth'-my words..But it is very good pressing and the packaging was real nice. One of my favorite Sabbath albums!.
Played on the following: Thorens TD-160 w/ Benz Micro Ace MC cartridge, Luxman L-430 integrated amp. and Snell E [ first generation] speakers.
IT was rather quiet no background noise at all. I guess it depends on the pressing one gets. IN lieu of NOT having a UK 1st Press Vertigo it is a good example of this album for most people.
Doc Vinyl - Comparing with the 2021 remaster, this release sounds bad. Not recommended. The pressing itself is ok, and just mirrors the remaster.
- I just picked this up off Discogs and mine has the round black sticker “BLACK SABBATH 180g Vinyl” on the shrink precisely over the Vertigo logo on the front bottom left corner of the album cover. The runout on both sides has completely different information, other than those things everything else looks identical. Below I’ve put what’s in the runout on both sides, and yes, the end of side 2 info is correct with the “2/C” which I find weird it’s not 2/B
Matrix / Runout (Side 1 runout, stamped): BMGRM0556LP-A 200573E1/A
Matrix / Runout (Side 2 runout, stamped): BMGRM0556LP-B 200573E2/C
My copy has an occasional very light “tick” here and there after a very good vacuum wet cleaning but does not take away from the enjoyment of listening to this great album. Sounds as excellent as it’s probably going to get and has no distortion anywhere. Running a Fluance RT85 with a Nagaoka MP-200 cartridge and stylus.
